Description Instructor Registration Policies & Waiting Lists Description Learn how to work with copper and take home four handsome finished pieces. Vickie “Doc” Schertz has been sharing her coppersmithing skills for several years and welcomes beginners as well as those with some experience. You’ll learn how to move, manipulate, and reshape copper. The four projects include a 3” x 4” copper “coupon” to chase and texture; a 4” pencil caddie that will hone your chasing (embossing) and texturing skills plus introduces soldering; a 7” vase that stretches your talents; and a final 8” round plate that involves more complex chasing to raise the design and sink the center.
Limited quantities of additional copper will be available to purchase from the instructor at time of class. Please bring cash or check.
Class size 9 Level Beginner and above Student Supply List Ear and eye protection and your favorite hammer. All other tools and materials are provided.
