MINE DAY, Saturday, August 9, 2025, 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums, 405 E. Main St., Platteville, WI Enjoy a day of history with a train ride, games, blacksmithing, lapidary, and other demonstrations. Explore the mine with a scavenger hunt, then sit back on your blanket or lawn chair and listen to bluegrass music by Holy Crowe (3-4p) and Grass Attack (4-6p). Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the day (no food or drink allowed onsite). Winners of the Pick & Gad raffle will be drawn at 3:00p. The event is free to the public with train rides at $3 per person.
