On Saturday, November 11, join Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts at the Lind Pavilion, 411 Commerce St. for a gala event. This event and fundraiser will feature art and specialty items curated by local artists and experts. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., enjoy live music by Driftless Standard Time, a cocktail reception and hors d'oeuvres, with auction bidding, raffles and games, and more fun with the art and creativity that makes Mineral Point and Shake Rag Alley so special. 

The auction will feature the work of Audrey Christie, Max Fernekes, Tom Kelly, Michael DeMeng, Laura Lein-Svencner, with fiber art items including a vintage crazy quilt, sleigh blanket, and Afghan tent wrap, stained glass by Mark McKim, and woodcarving by John Sharp. This selection of art includes local and regional artists, teaching-artists from the Shake Rag Alley community, and specialty items that highlight the craftsmanship and artistry of makers from a broad spectrum of media. From hand-painted woodcuts to carved and painted furniture, etchings, watercolor and crayon, woven and hand-stitched items, as well as ceramics and mixed media, the night will delight collectors of local artists and supporters of the arts looking for specialty pieces. Tickets are available online now for $25. Auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. 

Funds raised go to support Shake Rag Alley’s mission to provide educational experiences in visual, performing, and literary arts for adults and children; cultivate the creativity that thrives in our rural community; and rehabilitate and preserve our historic buildings and rustic campus.
