Folklore Village is delighted to present an extraordinary evening of trans-Atlantic folk music featuring Skye Consort & Emma Björling. Showcasing influences from Scandinavia, Ireland, the British Isles, and French Canada, this ensemble brings centuries-old melodies to life with modern arrangements and original compositions. The group’s origin is itself a tale of serendipity; in Montréal in 2017, a storm granted the musicians unexpected time to connect and create, ultimately forging the unique sound they share today. 

Audiences can expect to be enchanted by whirling polkas, groovy reels, and stirring hymns performed on fiddle, nyckelharpa, cello, bouzouki, banjo, and percussion, all woven together with captivating vocals.
