Description
The program is located at Harris Park inside the Ley Memorial Pavilion. Bring a chair or blanket. National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium will feature their traveling touch tank bringing live sharks you! Break down common misconceptions surrounding sharks, as we highlight the unique adaptations this animal have to survive. The program will also allow participants to explore the important roles sharks play in the ecosystem, learn how the actions of people in the landlocked Tri-State area impact sharks that live thousands of miles away, and discover how people can help protect them. Afterward, participants may get their hands wet and touch some of these animals. Program is sponsored by: 2025 United Fund of Iowa County Grant.
